Help at School Events
In order to keep tuition costs lower, we require the parents to serve 25 hours of volunteer time over the course of the school year. There are many different events for parents to earn their volunteer time. Look over the list below. If you have a specific job in mind, please contact Mrs. Anna Hill at 801-486-0741 or email her at anna@ksaschool.org.
Annual Auction/Benefit
This is our biggest fund-raiser of the year. Parent volunteers solicit and gather all of the auction items, both silent and live; arrange for the dinner and the entertainment; serve the dinner; decorate the gym, etc. Everyone who attends has a great time. Come be part of the planning of this important event.
Bingo & Dinner
On the first and third Saturdays of each month, bingo (for adults only) is held in the school gym. There are many jobs that need to be done from setting up tables, helping in the kitchen, working the floor during bingo, and putting the tables away at the end of the night. You can work for only a few hours, or the whole evening. Everybody who works has said that it is a fun and easy way to earn those volunteer hours.
Halloween Party
A lot of work goes into the planning of this fun event. You can volunteer to help beforehand, or to work the night of the party. This party is held on the Friday before Halloween, without it being on October 31st. Students and even a few of the parents dress in costume. A fun time is had by the young and the young at heart!
Cultural Day
Kearns-Saint Ann School is one of the most diverse schools in Utah. We have representation from 5 of the seven continents as students (no penguins). In spring of 2015, the Kearns-Saint Ann family decided it was time to celebrate this diversity and our Cultural Day Celebration was born.
If you would like to help in the planning or participate in sharing your culture, please call or contact the school office.

Field Days
These are held the last few days of school, with preschool, prekindergarten, kindergarten and 8th grade field days held earlier than grades 1-7. Parent volunteers organize each day by having a variety of "stations", or activities, for the students outside in the morning. Parents are needed to chaperone each class and supervise the stations. The HSA officers are the chairs for Field Day for grades 1-7, with the class representatives chairing the preschool, prekindergarten, kindergarten and 8th grade field days. WE NEED LOTS OF HELP!
First Holy Communion Breakfast
A breakfast is served to the First Holy Communicants and their families following the ceremony on a Sunday morning in late April or early May. The chair for this event is the 1st grade class representative. Parents of the 1st graders plan, decorate the tables and serve the breakfast.
Confirmation Reception
This is held the evening the 8th graders are confirmed, usually in March or April. The chair for this event is the 6th grade class representative. A reception is held in the gym, with the 6th grade parents decorating and staffing the event.
Graduation
The 8th grade graduation is held at the end of May each year. This special event is held at a very special Mass in Saint Ann Church. The 7th grade class representative is responsible for the reception that follows the graduation ceremony. Parents of the 7th graders arrange for the food, set up, decorate and staff the event.
St. Patrick's Day Parade Float
Kearns-St. Ann has been a part of the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade for many years, often taking home a prize. The chairperson of this event works with the development office in coming up with an idea and then producing it with help from volunteers.
