Help the Teacher or in the Classroom
In order to keep tuition costs lower, we require the parents to serve 25 hours of volunteer time over the course of the school year. There are many different choices for parents to earn their volunteer time. Some can even be served at home. Look over the list below. If you have a specific job in mind, please contact Mrs. Anna Hill at 801-486-0741 or email her at anna@ksaschool.org.
Home & School Association (HSA)
The Home & School Association is a much needed asset to both the school and the classroom teacher. It is relied upon to support the school and its various fund raisers, and assisting the teacher in a variety of ways.
Field Trip Chaperone
What a fun way to earn your volunteer hours. Trips can be to the zoo, a play, or Wheeler Farm (just to name a few).
Create Class projects or manipulatives
Do you have artistic leanings or are you crafty? Particularly in the lower grades, the teachers need help making things for use in the classroom. This is a job that can be done at home.
Science Fair
During Catholic Schools Week (usually the end of January or beginning of February), the 7th and 8th grade students participate in a Science Fair. Our Science teacher is always in need of judges for this event. If you are science savvy, contact our Science teacher and volunteer to be a judge.
There are other jobs not listed, contact your child's teacher to see with what he/she might need help.
