Dress Code

Students at Kearns-Saint Ann School shall be dressed appropriately at all times. They are required to be in complete uniform every day. Exceptions are special occasions. Please ensure that you child maintains a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. If, for any reason, your child is not wearing the school uniform, please send a written explanation to the teacher. At no time will students be allowed to wear team jackets, sweatshirts, t-shirts, caps, or other items with team logos on them.

Girls Uniforms

Grades K-3
Girls need one jumper for Dress occasions

  • Plaid jumper (no skirts or skorts): Jumper may be no shorter than 1" above the knee, from Tommy Hilfiger (ONLY)
  • Plain white, navy or black knee high socks or tights must be worn with jumper
  • Light blue polo shirt with KSA logo (found at Tommy Hilfiger ONLY)
  • Navy pants
  • Black brown or navy, vinyl or leather belt must be worn appropriately with shorts or slacks
  • Solid navy walking shorts 
  • Fourth Grade girls may wear the jumper OR the skirt
  • KSA Branded sweatshirts and pullovers from the KSA spirit shop are permitted
**Walking shorts may be worn during first and fourth quarters of the school year

Grades 4-8
  • Plaid skirt (no jumper): Skirt may be no shorter than 1" above the knee, from Tommy Hilfiger (ONLY)

Boys Uniforms

Grades K-8
  • Navy pants Tommy Hilfiger
  • Solid navy walking shorts
  • Light blue polo short or long sleeved  with KSA logo (found at Tommy Hilfiger ONLY) 
  • Plain white, navy or black socks (Socks must be crew length)
  • Black, brown or navy, vinyl, leather, must be worn appropriately at all times.​​
  • KSA Branded sweatshirts and pullovers from the KSA spirit shop are permitted
  • Optional: a white undershirt, sleeveless or short-sleeved
Uniforms may be purchased from Tommy Hilfiger .

​Girls Standards

  • HAIR: Natural (original) hair color only. Hair style must be worn in a neat and tasteful manner
  • HEADBANDS: Headbands must be a solid blue, black or white color, or the headband that can be purchased at Tommy Hilfiger.
  • JEWELRY:
    • Only religious necklaces and bracelets are permitted
    • A wristwatch may be worn
    • Earrings are limited to one post of conservative size and style PER EAR worn on the lobe. Only religious necklaces on a small-link, silver or gold chains are allowed
      Please, for safety purchases, no bracelets, rings and no dangling earrings
  • MAKEUP:
    • Makeup of any kind is not allowed in grades Preschool through 7th. 
    • Eighth graders may choose to wear makeup, but it must be inconspicuous and worn in a neat and tasteful manner.
  • FINGERNAILS: 
    • Long fingernails and colored nails are NOT permitted.

Boys Standards

  • HAIR:
    • Natural (original) hair color only.
    • Hair must be neat and well-trimmed on the sides and back and extend no further than the TOP OF THE COLLAR.
    • Spiked hair must be less than 1 inch tall.
    • Faux hawks are not allowed
    • No shaved designs in the hair are permitted
  • SIDEBURNS:
    • Sideburns should be neatly trimmed and may extend only to the bottom of the ear.
  • EARRINGS:
    • Earrings may NOT be worn.
EXTREMES OF ANY KIND ARE NOT PERMITTED

Shoes and Socks--Boys and Girls

  • Leather dress shoes in dark brown, black, or navy blue.
  • Athletic shoes in black, white or gray ONLY with white or black laces may be worn.
  • The following are NOT permitted:
    • High-top shoes
    • Boots
    • Shoes with lights
    • Shoes with wheels
    • Platform shoes
    • Sandals
    • Clogs
    • Shoes with heels higher than 2 inches
  • SOCKS:
    • Socks are to be at least crew length and must cover the ankles
    • Knee high socks and tights are permitted for the girls. Tights are to be black or navy blue only.
    • Socks must be white, black or navy blue.
    • A small brand logo is permitted.
    • Preschool-3rd grade girls may wear cuffed socks.

​P.E. Uniform

Students in Second through Eighth Grade must purchase regulation shorts and T-shirts through the school office. Solid white, solid blue or black socks and tennis shoes are required for P.E. Students may wear the same tennis shoes for PE that they wear in class. Leather shoes are not permitted for PE due to safety issues.
